Meet Shah Atiqur Rahman, Software Engineering Manager, Listing Intelligence. We spoke with him about his role in leading our Listing Intelligence (Search) group and the methods which he makes a distinction at Realtor.com. Here's what he stated: Q. Tell us about your team. A. We own nine backend search services that are core to the business's success. Among the most important is the Search API, which powers results on the Search engine result page. Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Docker, EKS and AWS artifacts. We also work carefully with the Artificial intelligence team to bring AI-driven functions to the consumer experience, such as search significance improvements and AI-powered search. We're a collective, friendly team that focuses on strong onboarding and continuous support. New team members are directed through the ramp-up process up until they're confident taking full ownership of their work. Each group member is useful to other staff member when facing obstacles. We value a culture where wins are celebrated honestly, and obstacles are owned together. We also make time for team-building, whether it's virtual hangouts or in-person parties, to keep sociability strong. Q. What's your biggest achievement so far at Realtor.com? A. I'm most pleased with the professional growth I've attained because signing up with Realtor.com as a Software Engineer over 7.5 years back. Throughout this journey, I've developed deep domain know-how, remained updated with developing industry practices, and consistently worked with modern innovations. My dedication to continuous learning and effect caused my promotion to Staff Software Engineer and my function as one of the group's technical leads. Most recently, I have actually taken on the duty of being the People Leader for the team-an interesting next step that allows me to support others in their growth while continuing to drive technical instructions. I take pride in the reality that my long period here hasn't slowed my growth-instead, it's been a platform for me to progress technically and handle greater leadership Q. What should someone wanting to join us in #Tech know? A. Realtor.com uses interesting technical obstacles, from massive data handling to real-time search, personalization, and AI/ML combination.
