The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the concern of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.
In an area that has among the greatest carbon footprints on the planet, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
