There’s a lot to look forward to on Xbox in early 2025, including exciting Xbox Game Pass additions and even some first-party releases. Unfortunately, we’ll also be saying goodbye to several games due to server closures.
As it stands, there are nine confirmed server shutdowns, but we can expect more to be announced soon. Recently, we’ve learned that games like WWE 2K23, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, and even the Xbox 360 classic NCAA Football 14 will be losing their servers. One game that might catch your eye is Blue Protocol, which, despite its plans to launch outside Japan as a free-to-play title, has been canceled by Bandai Namco and will not be available on Xbox in other regions.
Sadly, that's not all the bad news. A few titles will also be delisted from the Xbox Store by the end of the year, including GI Joe: Operation Blackout, NERF Legends, and multiple NASCAR games. If you’ve been eyeing any of these, now is the time to grab them before January 1st, 2025, when they will no longer be available.
Additionally, while Friday The 13th: The Game was already delisted, its servers are set to shut down sometime after December 31st, though no specific date has been provided yet.
